This motor car was originally restored in the late 90s in Italy by a renowned collector-restorer. A complete overhaul of the restoration was performed on the car in 2014 by 356 Specialists Shamrock Racing of California, elevating the car to one of the highest standards, and the car appears as if it was just restored last year inside and out. This restoration is supported with receipts and photos. With a mostly complete ownership history in hand, this vehicle was once owned by Stanley Gold of the Walt Disney Co, and president of Shamrock Racing. It is one of only 228 Porsche 356 Pre-A Continentals sold, and one of only 50 Continental Cabrios, This car may be one of only 25 cars that are known to exist today. This car presents an extremely rare opportunity to own one of the rarest 356 models ever made. Originally made in Silver, the Continental was repainted to a luscious jet black color, but retains its original color green interior, with a stunning green dashboard, and beautiful Telefunken radio. It also retains its original gauges, and is fully functional and ready to drive. While it no longer has its original engine (34514), it was replaced by #35786, which is the correct engine for this car from the same year, as you can tell by the closeness of the numbers. The floors are as new as well as the very rare original turbine wheels. The car fires up and shifts through all gears like butter, and it is truly a joy to drive and to be seen in.
