Vehicle Description
This 1986 Chevy Silverado K-20 Camper Special spent the majority of
its life in North Carolina before being brought to Michigan in 2016
where it was used as a Summer Toy for the last owner. This is a
highly option truck that was special ordered (according to RPO
Codes) it is the heavier duty Camper Edition. This truck sat in
storage quite awhile in NC before it was repainted. The miles are
believed to be original based on conversations and the Clean
Carfax. Based on the condition of the original underside and
original engine compartment we do believe they are. We found no
evidence of rust or rust repair anywhere on this truck and that
includes the rockers and cab corners. The repaint was a quality job
and it was done in its original color of Apple Red. The paint is
really nice and the body is super straight! It does have a spray in
bedliner. Check out the underside pictures to see how clean the
original undercarriage is. The original interior, except for a
recovered seat and dash pad, is in beautiful condition and supports
the low mileage. This truck has power steering, power front disc
brakes, power windows, power locks, working ac, cruise, dual fuel
tanks, stereo with bluetooth, sliding rear window, intermittent
wipers and tinted windows. Everything including all lights, wipers,
horn, etc are working. Cruise does not work.
Mechanically this Square Body is rock solid. The 5.7L 350 V8 is
believed to be the original engine and it runs fantastic. The
engine is completely stock with the exception of added headers and
dual exhaust that sounds great! This truck really runs excellent
and drives just as nice. The transmission is the Heavy Duty Turbo
400 Automatic that shifts nice and it is mated to the NP208
Transfer Case. All 4WD systems are working as they should. This
truck came with the HD Axles and Chassis. Rear Axle is the
Corporate 14 Bolt with 4.10 Gears and Locking Differential. Front
Axle is the Corporate 10 Bolt with 4.10 Gears as well. Other
Options include Heavy Duty Radiator, Transmission Cooler, Transfer
Case Shield, Chrome Bumpers, Towing Package, and Manual Locking
Hubs. The truck sits on a 4 Inch Lift and has 37 Inch Tires on
Turbine Wheels.. Very cool setup and great look!
