Blue vinyl interior with White seats and door panels. Numbers
matching 300hp 327ci engine, powerglide automatic transmission.
Features include factory air conditioning, power steering, power
antenna, AM/FM radio, soft ray tinted glass. Originally assembled
on April 20, 1965, this 1965 Corvette was purchased new by a
prominent local cattle breeder, and then was traded into Jerry
Brown Chevrolet in late 1972 on a 1973 model year Corvette. The car
stayed in possession of the dealership owners until we purchased it
from them in 2013, when it was still very much an unrestored
survivor car. The most recent owner has done quite a bit of work to
this car to make it more presentable, as well as addressing some
driveability issues. This car's odometer shows 51,266 miles, which
we believe to be correct based on the overall condition of this
car's original parts> nonetheless, there are no official
documents to back this claim, and therefore this car will be sold
as mileage exempt. This car's paint is good-vg, with a good shine.
Every piece of external glass in this car shows a correct date
code. Front chrome bumpers show a good-vg finish, with the rears
showing a good condition finish. Weatherstripping and taillights
are newer, and are vg-exc. Original exterior door handles are
good-vg. This car wears a set of good condition steel wheels, with
vg-exc correct hubcaps. Tiger Paw AWP II whitewall radial tires
show an average of 10/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior of
this 1965 Corvette shows exc newer carpet, good condition seats,
steering wheel, dash pods, and gauges, and vg door panels. Correct
GM seatbelts are vg, as is the glovebox lid. Correct AM/FM radio is
in place. The numbers matching engine in this car shows original
casting date April 8, 1965, and final assembly date April 12, 1965.
Correct air cleaner, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, ignition
shielding, alternator, and a/c compressor are all in place, and a
pair of L79/L76/L84 style finned aluminum valve covers have been
added. This engine compartment is in very original condition, and
has not been painted up like most other midyears. This car runs and
particularly well -- much better than many of the fully restored
cars that we've driven. Frame is solid. Other recent work to this
car includes new exhaust, transmission mount, rear leaf spring,
rebuilt rear suspension, shocks, wheel bearings, rebuilt
distributor, power steering control valve and hoses, radiator, fan
clutch, failsafe thermostat, valve cover gaskets, and much more.
Included with this car will be the original title, obituary for the
original owner, dealer trade-in data sheet from 1972, and repair
records dating back to 2007. We've had quite a few request for
midyear cars with automatic transmissions, air conditioning, and
power steering -- call us while we have this one! FREE 2 YEAR/50K
