Vehicle Description
This 1973 Ford F100 is a ranger XLT and was restored by the last
owner. It is a quality restoration and the truck started out as a
solid rust free truck from the pacific NW (Washington). They did a
fantastic job on the restoration and the truck looks great and runs
and dives as good as it looks (even the cruise control works). The
body on this F100 is excellent. It is super straight and clean and
he had it professionally prepared and painted. This truck used to
be yellow and white, but we love the Black and Gray Color combo it
now has. The paint looks amazing and there are only some minor
imperfections from driving it since restored. The truck was
completely torn apart to paint sdo it is a complete color change.
When they put it back together they did add a 1979 Grille because
they liked the look better. All of the moldings, bumpers, grille,
and trim are in great condition and they also put in new window and
door seals. They did add a matching fiberglass topper as well. The
interior was also redone and looks great! The seat was recovered
and they added new carpet and new headliner, steering wheel, and
seat belts. They also added a complete set of aftermarket gauges
which all work and are more accurate then the stock gauges.
Everything on this truck is working as it should be.
Mechanically this truck is rock solid. It has the original 360 V8
that the previous owner said he had rebuilt and it runs strong with
no red flags. It has an Edelbrock Carb, MSD Ignition, Headers, Dual
Exhaust. This truck has Power Steering and Power Brakes and it also
has Dual Batteries. They added a nice 3 Inch Lift Kit and then put
on new aluminum rims with Firestone A/T Tires. This is a really
nice setup and the truck runs and drives down the road beautifully.
The Transmission is the NP435 with a DANA 21 Transfer Case. It has
a 9 Inch Rear End and a DANA 44 Front end and they both have 3.50
Gears. This truck is very well sorted as the last owner drove it
pretty regularly.
