Vehicle Description
The silhouette of the steel body may say classic Ford, but the
flames on the fenders and triple-deuce big block under the hood
make sure this 1929 Ford Model A Phaeton is a true street
machine.
The maroon paint has a deep clearcoat luster that really highlights
the gentle roll of the fenders. And the custom front bumper really
lets you see the full waterfall grille design. Add in the large
Ford headlights, full running boards, and genuine wire wheels, and
this car is custom made to show off some great classic elements. Of
course, there's also the flames airbrushed into the front fenders
and they fade around the same time you really get a clear view at
the big motor. So this one does a nice job of balancing classic
style within its big power heart.
We love a good Phaeton, because they have a convertible top that
can keep the noon sun off your shoulders while still looking
sporty. And this one even folds neatly away and has a proper boot
cover. This is the kind of car that people will want to go for a
ride, and so you have nice upgrades like an AM/FM/CD stereo and
comfortable tweed seating in both rows. Of course, the driver's
seat is always the preferred one. There's a Wabbit Wood Works dash
full of crisp Classic Instruments gauges. The banjo-style sports
steering wheel is on a tilt column, and the flame-kissed shifter is
in an ideal position for your right hand.
The engine bay shows off why this one earns its hot rod style. This
454 cubic-inch block looks great on display thanks to the polished
Moroso valve covers. Plus, performance car fans know the triangle
air topper is a special thing for big blocks. Yes, this has a
triple set of Holley dual-barrel carburetors. There are even more
go-fast goodies like Edelbrock heads, an aluminum intake, and
shorty headers feeding the dual exhaust. It's a strong-running
package supported by the right pieces, like an MSD ignition and an
aluminum radiator w/electric fan. The big V8 is connected to a
stout TH400 three-speed automatic transmission that feeds a Ford
9-inch rear end. And just like a true hot rod, you have a strong
four-link suspension at both ends. Plus, there are power disc
brakes up front and adjustable coilovers in the rear.
Complete with build receipts, this is a cool-looking big block
Phaeton that is the ideal mix of power and style. Don't let it slip
away, call today!
