Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this one female owner 1979 Factory Formula which is in superb overall condition with very low actual miles of 10,349. This car drives like new as only a very low mile car can. This Formula is from Canada and the odometer reads in Kilometers and is currently showing 16,689 kilometers which equates to 10,349 miles. The kilometers and miles are documented as Actual. The original Pontiac 301 engine remains in the car and the vin on the engine block is numbers matching as well as the automatic transmission being numbers matching. This Formula features beautiful Sierra Copper paint, an original near mint Camel interior, the original Pontiac 301 engine and automatic transmission, and numerous original dealer documents and brochures. This Formula was service by the Guild in 2014 with over $7,000 being spent on road worthy maintenance. There is also an appraisal from 2014 from the Guild, see photos above of all maintenance items and appraisal. This Formula is very solid with great lines and gaps. There is no rust or rust repairs and no bubbling or cracked paint. The underside is extremely solid with no rust or corrosion issues and no patches or repairs. This Formula is finished in the desirable color combinations of Sierra Copper over Camel Deluxe interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above.
Exterior
The Sierra Copper exterior is in fantastic condition. This Formula has excellent paint with with very nice decals and pin stripping. The paint is in excellent overall condition with no signs of visible rust anywhere on the body or underneath and both bumpers are in great shape. There is no bubbling paint anywhere on the body of this car. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have full tread left and are sized 225/70/15 and the 15" OEM snowflake wheels have been fully restored with new center caps and lug nuts. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in excellent condition. Trunk is very solid and clean and factory correct with the original trunk mat, original spare tire and jack, and the original inflator bottle. The underside of this Formula is exceptionally solid with no rust issues or concerns and no patches or repairs.
Interior
The Camel deluxe interior of this Formula is in terrific mostly original condition. The original seat covers are in spectacular condition with no noticeable wear or fading or seam splits. These are factory original covers not some cheap aftermarket covers. The carpet is original with no major stains, rips, or holes and is in excellent condition. The original dash is in like new condition with no cracks or warping or fading and the original plastic pieces are still under the metal A pillar trim pieces. The engine turned dash bezel is like new as well and correct and looks beautiful in the car. The original style stereo works great and sounds good and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. This stereo is an upgraded am fm cassette Audivox stereo. The original door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner and package tray are both in great condition. The headliner is the correct perforated material and is not sagging at all. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should including the cigarette lighter but the clock is not keeping accurate time. The horn, all gauges, stereo, wipers, rear defrost, and blower motor all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever. It actually still smells new inside the car.
Mechanical
This Formula is in great mechanical condition and the original Pontiac 301 engine is still in the car with matching vin number, see photo. This engine runs very well and the car performs nicely. The Guild in 2014 performed many road worthy repairs to get this Formula up to date as it had been sitting for years prior. Over $7000 was spent on a new exhaust, new tires, new brakes, new spark plugs and wires, new alternator and ignition parts, new filters and gaskets, and more. See receipt photos from the Guild. Less than 500 miles have been added since this comprehensive maintenance was completed. A newer stock style exhaust remains under this Formula and gives this car a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds, and the original cat still remains in place. We have driven this car numerous times and it always performs well, it does not run hot, it rides tight, and is always a joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Formula is a nice driver that feels good on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time and runs well. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should and were serviced. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory non AC car which really cleans up the engine bay area and adds to performance.
