Vehicle Description
Here's a real treasure. In fact, it had been with the same family
for more than 50 years, so you know this truck was loved and well
cared for. And it shows. Another huge benefit is that it's still
intact with its original numbers matching engine, original cowl
tag, and matching frame stamp. It's a very handsome 1936 Dodge
Brothers pickup with the original T23 201 cubic inch straight six.
The Dodge brothers rated this flathead mill at 70 horsepower. The
engine has been completely rebuilt and the smoothness with which it
starts and runs is astounding. On top of the motor is the ah-oo-gah
horn which, again, looks and sounds perfect. With a frame off
resto, the rust-free chassis was stripped and painted. The body is
all steel, save for the running boards, and the two tone blue and
black paint is not only an ideal salute to the truck's Mopar
heritage, the finish is 100% show quality making this Dodge a real
stunner. When you get in, you'll see that the interior has been
freshened with a new seat and steering wheel. (You'll notice that
Mopar logo on the horn button.) The three-speed manual shifter is
super solid, and with the rebuilt suspension, you get a great
feeling of confidence while driving. On the dash, the center
mounted speedometer maintains the vintage feel, but there are also
aftermarket oil pressure, ammeter, and temp gauges to help you keep
an eye on things. Extra gauges are also a sign of the competent
care the truck has received. The wiring is all new too. White wall
radials with a matching spare look great and add to the ride and
handling quality. The vehicle has a clear title with matching VIN.
When you see this gorgeous truck, you'll have no doubt that it was
a true labor of love. So now it's ready for you to drive it, show
it, and enjoy this amazingly authentic, yet very functional piece
of automotive art and history.
