The Audi S6 Plus was the first product developed by Audi's
high-performance subsidiary, quattro GmbH, and was offered from
June 1996 to October 1997. The changes that the 'Plus' denoted were
significant: Under the bonnet, the 2.2-litre turbocharged
five-cylinder engine from the standard S6 was replaced by a
32-valve 4.2-litre V-8 engine, whilst the suspension geometry was
lowered and track widened for more mechanical grip. A more powerful
braking setup was used to cope with the extra power, and as it was
targeted purely as a driver's car, it was only available with a
six-speed manual gearbox.
This is one of the 97 saloon variants that were produced and is
likely to be one of very few specified in the rare colour of Nogaro
Blue with black leather and matching Alcantara blue seat insets. It
also benefits from the full S6 Plus carbon-fibre trim set, 17-inch
Avus alloy wheels, electric sunroof, cell phone, and memory
seats.
According to the consignor, the car was gifted by Audi to the
Spanish newspaper El Mundo in return for advertising space and was
used by their former CEO. Afterwards, it was purchased by the
Marquess of Antella. With the Marquess, the engine was rebuilt by
quattro Gmbh in 2005, and the car has recently received a repaint
in its original Nogaro Blue and been serviced, following minor
damage to the front and rear body panels. Photographs of this are
available on file. Still capable of holding its own amongst far
more modern super saloons, this car is ready to be enjoyed by its
next owner.

Der von 1996 bis 1997 angebotene Audi S6 Plus ist das erste Produkt
von Audis High Performance Arm quattro GmbH. Die in der
�Plus"-Variante umgesetzten Verbesserungen waren dabei signifikant:
so musste der serienm��ige 2,2 Liter Turbo-F�nfzylinder des S6 dem
32-Ventil 4,2-Liter V8 weichen, das Fahrwerk wurde tiefergelegt
sowie die Spur f�r noch besseren Grip verbreitert. Eine
leistungsst�rkere Bremsanlage sollte der deutlich gestiegenen
Leistung Einhalt gebieten. Den als �Fahrerauto" positionierten S6
Plus gab es nur mit einem Sechsgang-Handschaltgetriebe.
Dieses Exemplar ist eine von 97 hergestellten Limousinen und eines
von sch�tzungsweise nur wenigen in nogaroblau mit Memorysitzen in
schwarzem Leder mit passenden Alcantara-Eins�tzen in blau. Dieser
Wagen verf�gt �ber das komplette S6 Plus Carbon-Set, 17-Zoll Avus
Alufelgen, ein elektrisches Schiebedach und ein zeitgen�ssisches
Autotelefon.
Nach Aussage des Einlieferers wurde dieses Fahrzeug der spanischen
Tageszeitung El Mundo als Gegenleistung f�r Anzeigenfl�che
�bergeben und vom ehemaligen Gesch�ftsf�hrer bewegt. Anschlie�end
geh�rte es dem Marquis von Antella, in dessen Besitz der Motor 2005
bei der quattro GmbH �berholt wurde. K�rzlich wurde das Fahrzeug im
Originalfarbton nogaroblau neulackiert und gewartet. Noch heute
kann sich der S6 Plus auch unter modernen Performance-Limousinen
behaupten, und so ist dieses Exemplar bereit f�r Fahrspa� mit einem
