Beautiful Frame off Restored MGA Twin Cam. You can eat off the bottom of this car. It was originally purchased in 1958 by Jim Meyer while he was traveling Europe, The vehicle was delivered to Germany then imported to NY and delivered to the Milwaukee area in 1959. Jim used is solely for road racing, this helped preserve the chassis, original markings are very legible. it had been stored in a barn till the prior owner found it, with racing tires from the 60s still holding air! In 1999 it was driven on a road trip totaling 2000 miles, then in early 2000 it was completely disassembled and restored, to what you see in our gallery today. I will include importation paperwork from purchase, original order letter, original invoice from J.A Woodhouse K.G out of Germany! This specific MG Twin cam is listed in the MG registry.
The interior is very nice. All gauges work as they should. The red vinyl is supple and has no Imperfections we can see. Dash is in great shape. It is a fully restored car from the 2000s that has held up very well. All door cards are excellent, and the pull straps work as they should. New top, and original style sliders are included. Please take a moment to view our test drive video! It truly is a gem!
Paint is rich and even. I would rate the paint an 8-10 as it is an older well-preserved restoration. Wheels are very nice, headlight bezels are in great shape. Overall a very sorted exterior, the new owner will be pleased. All brightwork is in great shape, the top is very nice. The next owner will be very happy and bring home trophies.
The engine runs excellent, very peppy 1588cc motor. It does not smoke or hesitate. The underside is dry and we have put miles on it to ensure everything works, no hard starts all levers work as they should, transmission shifts excellent, no grinding or binding. The motor is very healthy and runs like a new car, it feels like a new Miata if that makes sense. Powerband is smooth. 4 wheel disk brakes stop it evenly, with no pulling.

Due to our inventory size, we are unable to drive every vehicle for long distances. We also cannot guarantee that every gauge, light, window, horn, option, function, etc., will work as it should. Please check your local state inspection requirements. We do our best to inspect these vehicles in every detail and note any imperfections in the advertisement. Please note that we do not guarantee any air conditioning systems, gauges, or electrical systems. Given the nature of the vintage vehicles we sell, these components will need upkeep or attention. In addition, many times these vehicles sit for long periods of time and once you begin to drive them seals harden and gaskets may begin to leak! Classic cars leak. Please make sure you are comfortable with this before buying a vintage automobile. The information contained in this ad is solely for convenience. a new brand that was between a Ford and Lincoln that would address the growing consumer desire for upscale products. This spawned the brand known as De Luxe.
Up until 1947, there was no ‘Goldilocks’ choice in half-ton pickup trucks. The options were the choice between a truck based on lightly-modified passenger car chassis or one scaled-down from a medium-duty truck. That all changed with the introduction of the 1948 Ford F-1 Bonus Built. There were certainly pickup trucks available prior to 1948, […]
I really love handmade British sports cars. I like that individual people built these cars, that they are quite exclusive, and they often tend to be quite different from production cars. The problem with most handmade British cars is that they tend to be very expensive. They cars are built by such companies as Lagonda, […]
RM Sotheby’s first online-only catalog sale, which replaced the annual live South Florida auction because of the COVID-19 pandemic, totaled $13.7 million in overall sales for 259 collector cars and 21 lots of memorabilia. The auction was held on the company’s Online Only digital platform from March 20 with timed bidding closing from March 25 […]
In mid-March, I wrote a commentary headlined “I don’t understand the need for driving gloves: Do people wear them just to look cool, or do they enhance car control?” While I have nothing against such gloves, or against those who might wear them, I had never understood exactly why people would wear them, or why […]
Shopping from home has not been halted by the coronavirus pandemic and H&H Classics reports a 97 percent sell-through rate for its recent online Automobilia auction. “The fact that the result was achieved during this difficult time for the country and the world speaks volumes about online sales as a powerful phenomenon in the tradition […]
the Porsche 914 weighted in at 2,072-2,194 pounds, allowing this to provide a sporty ride. The handling and braking also vastly benefited from this, taking a page from Lotus’ Colin Chapman’s playbook.
Mitch Perry did not make my list of favorite race drivers this past week. However, he is at the top of my list as my own race driver coach and friend, and we share very parallel youth years. Unlike me, he has gone on to become an accomplished racer and is one of LA’s most […]
The Pick of the Day is advertised as a 1966 Ford GT40 with an asking price of $124,999. Deal of the century for a GT40 Mk I “street-legal supercar”? Well, as it turns out, this car being offered by its private owner in Gardnerville, Nevada, is not one of the cars that Ford raced at […]
During this time spent indoors during shelter in place, I have been able to continue work on the MGB GT restoration. The latest project has been tackling the gearbox. For a bit of history: The 3-syncro overdrive-equipped gearbox in this car is the one in it when the car was delivered. The gearbox was rebuilt […]
