Description:

Beautiful Frame off Restored MGA Twin Cam. You can eat off the bottom of this car. It was originally purchased in 1958 by Jim Meyer while he was traveling Europe, The vehicle was delivered to Germany then imported to NY and delivered to the Milwaukee area in 1959. Jim used is solely for road racing, this helped preserve the chassis, original markings are very legible. it had been stored in a barn till the prior owner found it, with racing tires from the 60s still holding air!  In 1999 it was driven on a road trip totaling 2000 miles, then in early 2000 it was completely disassembled and restored, to what you see in our gallery today. I will include importation paperwork from purchase, original order letter, original invoice from J.A Woodhouse K.G out of Germany! This specific MG Twin cam is listed in the MG registry.

Interior:

The interior is very nice. All gauges work as they should. The red vinyl is supple and has no Imperfections we can see. Dash is in great shape. It is a fully restored car from the 2000s that has held up very well. All door cards are excellent, and the pull straps work as they should. New top, and original style sliders are included. Please take a moment to view our test drive video! It truly is a gem!

Exterior:

Paint is rich and even. I would rate the paint an 8-10 as it is an older well-preserved restoration. Wheels are very nice, headlight bezels are in great shape. Overall a very sorted exterior, the new owner will be pleased. All brightwork is in great shape, the top is very nice. The next owner will be very happy and bring home trophies.

Drivetrain:

The engine runs excellent, very peppy 1588cc motor. It does not smoke or hesitate. The underside is dry and we have put miles on it to ensure everything works, no hard starts all levers work as they should, transmission shifts excellent, no grinding or binding. The motor is very healthy and runs like a new car, it feels like a new Miata if that makes sense. Powerband is smooth. 4 wheel disk brakes stop it evenly, with no pulling.

Quality Disclaimer

Due to our inventory size, we are unable to drive every vehicle for long distances. We also cannot guarantee that every gauge, light, window, horn, option, function, etc., will work as it should. Please check your local state inspection requirements. We do our best to inspect these vehicles in every detail and note any imperfections in the advertisement. Please note that we do not guarantee any air conditioning systems, gauges, or electrical systems. Given the nature of the vintage vehicles we sell, these components will need upkeep or attention.
