Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1962 Porsche 356B twin
grille roadster. One of only 248 D'leteren roadsters produced, this
example has been with the same local collector-owner since his
purchase from a well-regarded California dealer in 2011. It was
with the previous owner from 1980 and was the 114th 356 restored by
the late Jim Kellogg.
This Porsche is correct to the included COA - finished in stunning
black over green leatherette (now leather) with a numbers-matching
"normal" engine and four-speed transmission. It retains the correct
partial vin stampings on both door bottoms and one hood hinge.
Extensive service has been carried out under current ownership by
356 specialist Jack Lewis Enterprises including a complete engine
overhaul, clutch, brakes, steering, suspension, torsion bar area
rebuild, exhaust, and more - this work totals over $40,000. As
pretty as it is to look at, we found this Belgian roadster to be
one of the best-driving 356s we have experienced and it should be
turn-key for the new owner to enjoy for shows or touring
events.
Included is an original tool roll, original green leatherette top
boot (plus a new boot in black canvas), original keys, COA, service
records, reproduction driver's manual and the 1980 title from the
previous owner. A must have for the Porsche collector and rarely
seen in this color combination. For more information about this
