Ground-up built and fully sorted, this slick Ford coupe is a super
cool street rod that features custom upholstery, modern air
conditioning, a custom chassis, a massive big block and character
in spades! If you're looking for a head-turning classic that's fun
to drive, fun to look at and just plain fun to own, you've found
your next hot rod!
TRADITIONAL STYLE
Built to be cruised, this top-notch Ford is constructed from high
quality fiberglass that's both attractive and durable thanks to
proven Gibbons molds. That resin, fashioned very close to original
Ford 3-window lines, has been sealed in glossy Metallic Magenta
2-stage and licked with striking metallic flames. At the front of
that glossy pigment, color-keyed frame horns hang a polished
spreader beneath polished headlights and a polished grille. Behind
that grille, a steel, 3-piece hood runs staggered louvers toward a
3.5-inch chopped windshield, which plants a polished frame between
small mirrors. Those mirrors reflect trick suicide doors, which
open to lightweight running boards. And at the back of those
boards, tubbed fenders center a shaved decklid between flush
taillights and a recessed backlite.
BIG BLOCK POWER
Check this Ford's smooth engine bay and you'll find 468 cubic
inches of buff Chevy big block that turns killer power into
voracious torque! At the top of the color-keyed mill, a polished
air cleaner pulls fresh air into coated Edelbrock carburetors and a
polished Offenhauser intake. At the back of that plane, a spry MSD
distributor sequences fire through loomed MSD Helicore plug wires.
Those wires spark polished Dart heads, which balance polished valve
covers and polished breathers over a Crane roller cam and Crane
roller lifters. Spent gases are jettisoned through coated Sanderson
headers. At the front of the block, polished pulleys spin a
polished AC compressor and a polished, 100-amp alternator above a
polished water pump. At the front of those ancillaries, a requisite
Walker radiator makes excellent use of two electric puller fans.
And the builder's keen sense of detail is evident in items like
trick dipsticks, a polished expansion tank, corrugated coolant
lines and a polished oil pan.
GOOD BONES
Under this impressive custom, a dressed Turbo-Hydramatic 350
3-speed utilizes a 3,000 RPM stall to automatically spin power to a
narrowed Ford 9-inch. That polished pumpkin pushes a polished
4-link rear-half that's finished with quality Pete & Jakes
coil-overs. Opposite that clip, traditional wishbones frame a
3.5-inch drop straight axle, which is capped with polished Pete &
Jakes shocks. A floor-mounted booster makes excellent use of solid
discs and polished drums. A high-octane soundtrack is provided by
polished pipes and adjustable SuperTrapp mufflers. At the corners
of the car, flashy Centerline blades spin $1,416 worth of new
Hoosier Pro Streets. And everything, from this Ford's polished oil
pan to its 15-gallon fuel cell, is clean, sorted and ready to
rumble!
CUSTOM IS GOOD
Between the doors, style is the name of the game as a tasteful
combination of vinyl and tweed creates a stylish complement to the
car's rich paint. The driver and passenger are immediately greeted
by modern sports car buckets. At the sides of those seats, 2-tone
panels front smooth power windows. Below those panels, light carpet
floats piped floor mats around Lokar pedals and a short B&M
shifter. At the front of that carpet, a billet-faced dash pipes
modern air conditioning around classy Dakota Digital telemetry. At
the chopped roof, an AutoMeter Sport-Comp Monster tach amplifies
revs next to a modern JVC head unit that amplifies tunes through
seven speakers. And in front of the driver, a polished and
leather-Lecarra wrapped steering wheel laps a painted, tilting
column.
Fully sorted and ready to roll, this awesome coupe mixes choice
swagger with big athletics. From its delightfully retro pigment to
its top notch build and mind-blowing engine, there simply aren't
many cooler customs out there! Call, click or visit
