This listing is for a very nice vintage 1965 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Restomod Tribute. Original D code V8 car. This Mustang started out as a barn find in California.It recently received restoration work. This Mustang is in good running/driving condition with lots of new parts!!!
BODY:
Paint is Guardsman Blue pearl with Wimbledon White GT Lemans stripes. Paint is brand new 1 week old. Paint is base coat clear cut and polished to a high shine. Lemans stripes are painted on not decals. Many new exterior parts and add ons: New front and rear bumpers, new Maier Racing Shelby hood scoop and side side scoops, new GT350 Cobra gas cap, new chrome bullet mirrors, custom Alloy wheels with New Shelby knock offs, brand new tires 215 50 16, new Cobra/GT350 exterior emblems. All exterior chrome is in nice shape, exterior lighting, turn signals, brake lights all function properly.
ENGINE:
The engine is a 289 cubic inch performance V8 with no issues. Engine runs good, starts right up and does not smoke or boil over. It has an OEM cast iron FOMOCO 4 barrel intake manifold with a Holley 600CFM carburetor. Lots of new parts installed: New chrome air breather, new classic gold valve covers, new Autolite spark plugs, wires and distributor cap, new Duralast alternator, new Duralast starter, new Duralast water pump, new Carter fuel pump, new starter solenoid, new Everstart battery, recent oil change and coolant flush. Exhaust is stock manifolds running into brand new 2 1/4 inch dual piping and Flowtech Terminator mufflers. Car sounds awesome with a nice deep rumble. Transmission is the original Ford Toploader 4 speed manual shifts good thru all the gears. Odometer shows 95,280 miles, the rebuilt miles is less than 5000
INTERIOR:
The interior has been redone a couple years ago: replaced factory style seat upholstery, carpet, door panels, dash pad, headliner, new Cobra floor mats, new deluxe center console, original radio is still installed works, but not currently hooked up to the speakers. Heater works good with a new plenum/heater core and lines installed. The original heater control switch has been bypassed and utilizes an auxiliary switch. Gauges, wipers and interior lighting all function properly. The original horn has been disabled.
​BRAKES/SUSPENSION:
Brakes are drum up front and drum out back. Shoes, brake hoses and cylinders in the front and rear were replaced by previous owner as well as the front and rear shocks. Suspension is all stock with coil springs up front and leaf springs in the rear with an 8 inch rear end and the differential has been topped off. Trunk is clean no rust new trunk mat with spare cover. I have 3 videos by request
