The BMW 5 Series has been in constant production since 1972.
Introduced in 2009, the F10 is the sixth generation of production
and available as a sedan, wagon, fastback and also a long wheel
base model. A large range of new engines were available as well,
the largest being the 4.4L twin turbo V8.
This particularly fine example of the 550I comes to us by way of
Kentucky. Overall it is in great shape and has been well maintained
throughout its life. It Runs and drives great and has more than
enough power to move down the road. The Sophisto Gray exterior
shines quite well and compliments the oyster and black interior.
Being a RWD M-sport, it is actually a pretty rare configuration for
the f10 chassis and has received no modifications other than window
tint. The 8 speed transmission has paddle shifters. The twin turbo
V8 produces 400hp and 450-lb-ft of torque. The power delivery is
smooth, but when driven in a sporting manner the car really comes
alive and gets with the program. Make no mistake, this is a very
fast car. This 550I has been well maintained and recently received
new updated fuel injectors per a BMW service bulletin. This car has
a plethora of features including xenon adaptive headlights,
adjustable dampening suspension, Shadowline Sport Trim, navigation,
soft close doors, upgraded stereo and heated/cooled sport seats.
This car also has the M-Sport package which gives an M appearance
in the bumpers, staggered wheels, steering wheel and upgraded
suspension.
This 2011 BMW 550I is a very clean and well kept example. Riding in
the car is akin to riding in a rocket, if a rocket had a premium
BMW interior. A sophisticated beast in an elegant and understated
package, this BMW 550I is an instant classic.
