For Sale: 1965 Chevrolet Suburban in Quitman, Texas

Vehicle Description

1965 Chevrolet Suburban

GORGEOUS PRO-BUILT STREET ROD. Head-turner ready to drive anywhere.  Show quality detail. Scarce model (only 4,700 built and not many still around).  Only 7,500 miles!  300/350 HO GM Crate motor mated to Art Carr-enhanced 700R4 w/overdrive.  All new 3.70 rear gears & bearings w/NASCAR-grade axles.  Edelbrock, Holley Street Avenger, coated Sanderson headers, Mallory, Flex-a-LIte Black Magic electric radiator fan, 2” exhaust w/ stainless Magna-Flows that sound throaty, but not too loud.  New fuel tank & lines. ’72 C-10 front clip w/ 2" drop, upgraded suspension and PWR Disc., PS, IDIDIT Tilt column with ‘65 Corvette steering wheel.  Heavy 1-inch Swaybars front and rear keep this truck surprisingly flat and stable on the curves and corners.  Built from a solid, straight, rust and accident-free vehicle from dry West Texas.  Vehicle completely disassembled, sand-blasted & prepped.  Multiple coats of hand-rubbed Dodge Viper Blue w/ hand-laid White SS stripes with 1/4" outlines that run the length of the truck, as well as over into the dashboard.  Paint is deep, glossy and slick.  Check the pics to see that door jambs are same glossy paint detail as vehicle's exterior.  New tinted-glass all-around, rubber & weather-stripping. Subtle modifications include one-piece welded hood, frenched electric antenna and custom one-piece side rear windows to replace original sliding vents.  Bumpers and steel grill show-chromed and polished.  All bolts & fittings replaced with stainless or cad-plated. Exact-fit cold Vintage Air AC for 64-66 Chevy C-10's, Painless Wiring, VDO white-face gauges in custom instrument panel that appear cream-colored when the lights are on (see the pics).  New interior w/ Silverado 60/40 PWR seats w/ late-model GM shoulder belts installed that never existed on '60's Chevrolets.  NOS wipers, body mounts, taillights, & much more. "Dynamat" butyl rubber insulation thru-out & carpeted front and rear compartments that keep the interior comfortable and quiet.  All NEW or NOS components throughout. Only original parts are chassis and body.  Runs smooth, handles great, corners flat.  Ready to show, cruise, or road trip.  No disappointments.  Always garaged and never driven in the rain.  Don’t need/have to sell.  Like most car enthusiasts, just ready to start new project.  Clear current TX title in hand.  Would cost $60K to build again.  $27,500 or come see it to make me a serious offer.  No trades.  Near Dallas, TX.
