Vehicle Description
It takes 185 men working by hand to make the body alone. All of
them old hands at coach work: the Karmann custom coachmakers of
Osnabruck. So says the brochure that comes with this beautiful 1965
Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. It also prophetically declares that one
kind of person who buys a Karmann Ghia are those who know a classic
when they see one. Today there are indeed devoted followers who are
very knowledgeable regarding the object of their affection. And so
the paint, the interior, and the drivetrain have been lovingly
restored. In the engine compartment, everything is stock except for
a few touches that a good mechanic would do. Small but important
things like the chrome K&N air filter, a new fuel filter, and a
battery cut off switch assure reliable performance. Silver exterior
paint and a red interior make a striking combination. Coker wide
whites and chrome wheels complement the classic look. The interior
is VW right down to the large clock that matches the speedometer --
a design element not found in the beetle. Certainly, there are many
design elements found on no other car, that's why the Karmann Ghia
has such loyal fans. This one is ready for you to enjoy.
*DISCLAIMER: MAXmotive specializes in collectible classic and
custom vehicles. We have more than 200 vehicles in our collection
and have sold dozens nationwide and even overseas. We recommend
that all buyers who are unable to view a vehicle in person have a
pre-purchase inspection done prior to purchase. Inspections can be
performed by an independent party selected by the buyer. Due to the
age and uniqueness of these special vehicles, it is difficult to
cover all aspects and characteristics of each vehicle's condition
within the limited space available. Thus, pre-purchase inspections
are helpful to all parties involved. The information provided for
this vehicle is presented to the best of our knowledge, and is
deemed reliable. But MAXmotive does not warrant or guarantee this
information as a basis for purchase. It is the responsibility of
the buyer to make a thorough inspection to determine the
suitability of the vehicle prior to purchase.
