This 1984 Chevrolet C10 Silverado has the look of a custom street
truck, and the 406 V8 power to back it up, too. And since you enjoy
it all from an upgraded interior, you start to understand that this
two-tone pickup already has everything you want.
This truck is for those who love plenty of custom details. It
starts with the paint. The two-tone red and white is a classic
color combo. But it has a nice shine here that tells you there was
a more recent investment in quality. And the black pinstripe around
the white provides for a distinct dividing line. Up front, the
whole clip is borrowed from the later K5 Blazers. It has a more
modern and shining look that goes well with the Silverado side
trim, wide trailing mirrors, and mirror-like chrome bumpers. Plus,
the large 22-inch polished Ridler wheels do a great job of adding
to the shine and custom attitude of this truck.
Inside is a well-done black interior. It includes new carpeting, a
new dash mat, and a taut leather black bench seat. Even the windows
are darkly tinted. There are all the right comfort features, like
power windows, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and cold-blowing R134a air
conditioning. Plus, the upgraded sports steering wheel is mounted
on a tilt column, so you get an excellent view of the wraparound
gauge panel.
One look in the engine bay, and you'll see dark inner walls that
funnel all your attention to the shining V8 heart in the middle.
It's a 406 cubic-inch motor, which gives you big block displacement
in a small block weight. It has been enhanced with a Quick Fuel
four-barrel carburetor, GM Performance hi-rise intake, and headers
that feed the dual exhaust. There are also the right supporting
components, like an MSD ignition, upgraded pulleys, and an aluminum
radiator w/dual electric fans. Power steering and power brakes
w/discs up front are great anytime driving features. And the
four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive is great for enjoying
this truck near or far.
