2-Owner, Low Mile California Car
Nice 1974 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce for sale. This special 2-owner California car was purchased by the father of the most current owner in San Diego as she head off for college in the early 1980s. After college she married, had kids and the car was used lightly up until 2001 when it was finally put into non-op. It sat in the garage for all of these years but was started somewhat regularly and taken around the block from time to time. It looks to be the original 69,514 miles showing.
This Alfa Has the correctly stamped 2.0L engine, #AR01500*14930 with the Spica fuel injection. We sent to our Alfa mechanic to have the Spica system adjusted and tuned along with new plugs and a few miscellaneous items. It starts up and runs nicely with a smooth idle and plenty of power. After its long rest, we wanted to ensure it was safe so we rebuilt the calipers, turned the rotors, replaced the pads as well as the wheel bearings. A brand new set of Michelin 185/70R 14's were mounted to its refinished, factory alloy wheels including new lug nuts and center caps. Not only does it look nice but the handling and braking feel great! A new battery and set of fresh wiper blades were installed as well.
The exterior shows well and the paint has a nice shine to it. Sometime during the 1980s, it was treated to a respray of its original 514 Rosso. Expect some imperfections, touch-up and a few scuffs after all of the years but overall you can see it still shows quite well with no rust anywhere. The refinished wheels and tires look great. The older canvas top seals up and looks good, also.
The interior was freshened up with new factory-correct professionally installed seat upholstery and fresh, correct door panels ordered from Centerline International. The dash was showing a couple of good-sized cracks around the defroster vents so I ordered a dash cover from them as well and was super impressed with the fitment. The carpets were installed years ago but are in excellent shape.
It is super comfortable with new wipers, lighter, working gauges and a nice, toasty heater. The stereo is in working order as well.
