SALE PENDING!!! This is a beautifully restored 1930 Packard 733
Convertible Coupe with rumble seat that benefited from a high-point
concours restoration. Since the restoration, the Packard has
covered under 50 miles, so it has yet to be broken-in. Everything
was restored on this car. This Packard was part of the J&R
Vintage Auto Museum in New Mexico and was part of the liquidation
of all the cars after the founder Gab Joiner passed away. It was
acquired by, and is part of, the Janet Cussler Car Collection in
Scottsdale, Arizona and is now available for sale. Janet and her
late husband, best-selling author Clive Cussler, are world-renowned
for their beautiful classic car collection. With its 134.5 inch
wheelbase, this is far easier to drive than the longer Packards of
the era. The yellow and black livery with blackwall tires looks
more like a Bugatti than a Packard. It has a European flair to it
that you just don't see often on Packards. The paint and body
finish quality are excellent. All the chrome has been replated and
is well done. The door closure and other operational functions are
all excellent with panel fit that is very good (the bottom of the
doors are off about 1/4" to 1/2"). The interior is replete with tan
leather that is as-new, being soft and supple. The woodgraining,
interior instrumentation and details are also excellent. The rumble
seat appears never to have been used and the carpet and trim as
well as the tan leather are all excellent. The tan Haartz cloth
canvas convertible top is in very good condition and folds down in
a few minutes. There are minor scuff marks where the rumble seat
folds down, which is very normal even with limited use. The engine
detailing is correct and is showing a slight amount of patina from
being held in a museum since restoration. Everything on this car
has been rebuilt and restored. The chassis is well done, but would
benefit from further cleaning before a concours event. The 320 CID
straight eight engine has nine main bearings, performs well, and
the carburetor has been recently rebuilt to ensure proper
operations. The Packard emits some smoke which is likely from not
being used and the valves not yet being seated. For more details
