1987 FORD RANGER LONG BOX CUSTOM
1987 Ford Ranger long box custom. 2-door regular/standard cab with a rare 7 foot box.
This truck has been in my family since it was new. I bought it from my father 25 years ago and have owned it since.
The truck has not driven since 2013, but body is still in great shape. Runs and drives well, battery is charged and engine is run on a regular basis. Would be a great project.
Showed extensively in 2002 and 2003 and received top trophies in a variety of shows, including:
- Canadian/London (ON) Truck Nationals in 2002 and 2003 - First in class and Top 10 in Show
- Carlisle PA Truck Nationals 2003 - Fun Field 1st in Class

PAINT AND BODY WORK
Bodywork and paint done in 2000. Body was stripped down to bare metal, rust was cut out and new metal was welded in place. Custom paint job done on entire body. Firewall in engine bay painted flat black.
KNOWN AREAS THAT REQUIRE ATTENTION
- Cracked windshield, top middle near rear-view mirror
- Parking brake needs servicing, unsure if it works
- Leaking oil pan gasket
- Leaking tail stock seal
- Original rad may require replacement, slight effervescence appearing.
- Oval rubber plug in drivers side floor pan is missing.
