Vehicle Description
This 1968 Camaro is a real deal RS/SS. It is powered by a 396
engine with a Muncie 4-speed transmission. It has a 12 bolt
positraction rear end with 373 gears. It had a nicely done frame
off cosmetic and comprehensive mechanical restoration about 6 years
ago. The body is straight and solid with shiny Butternut Yellow
base clear paint, which is the original color. The interior is all
original with a new carpet kit. It is the black deluxe bucket
interior and is extremely nice and clean for its vintage. It sports
a tic toc tac, full console, and factory gauge package in the
console. A hurst shifter handles the gear swap. The engine is a
numbers correct MW suffix 1968 396 assembly that was professionally
rebuilt. It has ceramic coated headders, new aluminized exhaust, a
new demon carburetor, aluminum radiator, and an HEI ignition. The
car runs and drives very well. The 12 bolt has brand new Richmond
373 gears and all newbrakes and hardware. The front brakes are
disc. The suspension is all new Hotchkissport tubular control arms
and rear leafs as well as front and rear sway bars. The car has all
new shocks, bushings, etc. as well as had a professional alignment.
The wheels and tires are brand new 19' in the front and 20' in the
rear. The car rides and handles extremely well. The floors and
trunk are perfect. The current owner believes the floors to be
originals and the trunk pan was done at the time of the restoration
and was done well. Inner wheel houses, drop offs etc. are rust free
and nice. The entire chassis has been done in a POR15 like
protectant. The car presents it self nicely and is a head turner.
The list of new parts is entirely too long to list. The car
couldn't be built for the modest selling price. The car is in
offsite, inside storage. Please Note The Following **Vehicle
