We are pleased to present this 1971 Chevrolet C-10 that was built
and painted by Cecil Proffit a legendary custom car builder from
Virginia. It was completed on May 2, 2007 and his signature adorns
the glove box. He passed away in 2013 and still has a strong
following around the country. Less than 20,000 miles after complete
Cab off restoration, it still looks like it just rolled out of the
shop. The Oak bed is still in great shape and during the
restoration a 16 gallon gas tank was installed in the rear of the
truck. It was lowered 4 inches both front and rear and a Vintage
heat system was installed. The custom leather red and black
interior with matching headliner are in excellent condition.
Mechanically, James Biggs bored the 350 30 over and installed 4
bolt main Forged Flat top pistons, polished the push rods, balanced
and blue printed it with SPS bolts, Comp cam 280 magnum with comp
roller rockers, 7/16 studs, ceramic long headers with 6 inch Flat
exhaust, ported, polished and angel cut heads from a 1969 Z28,
installed a Holly Street Avenger 870 Carb with manual choke and a
MSD HEI system. All this power is put to the street through a 700
R4 transmission linked to a 12 bolt rear with 4:11 gear and Eaton
Posi-traction. We can arrange shipping anywhere. For more
