Vehicle Description
The true key to happy classic car ownership is finding the right
vehicle that gives you the confidence to take it out whenever and
wherever you want. That's what makes this 1931 Ford Model A Phaeton
Replica so appealing. It might look like a nearly 90-year-old
classic, but beneath the vintage appearance is a more modern V8
drivetrain and desirable features.
The people at Glassic only produced a small number of Model A
replicas. In fact, there were less than 1,700 estimated built over
a 15-year run, and less than 800 of this particular series. The
durable fiberglass body and low mileage means this example remains
looking nice and glossy. This one has all the great elements you
love in a classic Model A, including the bright upright grille,
full length running boards, chrome double bumpers, chrome luggage
rack w/trunk, and dual spare wheels mounted in the fenders. But
this is no ordinary Model A reproduction. Glassic took advantage of
some upgrades to Ford's iconic design. This includes larger doors
and 14-inch wire wheels, both of which make this convertible feel
more practical without effecting the vintage vibe.
The full black interior looks great against the black exterior. And
as you peek inside, you really start to see how this is a more
modern classic. The low-back bucket seats look nice, and you slip
behind a wood-rimmed sports steering wheel that's more comfortable
than an original Model A. There's a full gauge package in place,
which is always a welcomed sight. You even have an AM/FM/CD stereo
so you can choose between 1930s flapper music or more modern tunes
for your road trips. It doesn't even have to be a sunny day drive
with the included full top and side curtain package. And don't you
just love how the full white package coordinates with the white
spare wheel covers and white rub strips to give the exterior an
almost black and white two-tone look when the top is in place.
This is built to be a classic-style Ford, so it's great to have
proper Ford power on display. And we especially love that they have
utilized an updated and more powerful Ford legend. The 302
cubic-inch V8 has a nice look with plenty of polish, including the
ribbed valve covers with matching air topper. And with the tidy
wires, hoses, and smooth shining firewall, you may just run with
the hood removed to really showcase this engine bay. More than just
look great, the V8 has the right performance components, like a
four-barrel carburetor, hi-rise intake, and shorty headers feeding
an X-pipe dual exhaust. This is a strong-running V8 that even has
the right supporting components, like an aluminum radiator. Plus,
it's built for easy cruising with features like the three-speed
automatic transmission and power brakes.
The sale comes with restoration photos, build receipts, service
manuals, and the owner's manual. This is a more modern classic
built for motoring, so if you love the vintage look but want a
powerful driver, call today!
