Incredible condition in and out. Really, the fit, finishes and
function of this car is as good as it gets. Documented with
protect-o-plate, order form, original temp tag receipt.
EXTERIOR: Outstanding fit and finish. The body is absolutely
straight, panels fit nice. Doors shut like a new car. The factory
spot welds are still visible along the lower 1/4 panels and
rockers. Bottom of the doors are clean. The paint looks like red
glass, it is polished like a mirror. Jambs are painted slick.
Correctly painted on pinstripes. Outstanding trim as well. Up in
front of the bumper is chromed, headlight bezels are excellent, new
emblem. Has correct T-3 original style headlamps. The stainless
moldings around all the windows, gutters and doors is straight and
polished. The side moldings are all straight and polished. Has new
emblems and door handles. In back the tail lights and and bumper
look like new. The chrome trunk panel is beautiful but has some
mild pitting. The glass is crystal clear. Fuzzy window seals are
replaced, weather strips are new. SS-1 wheels are excellent and
have reproduction Firestone redline tires.
INTERIOR: Inside the car is mint. The seats feel real good, they
have new cushions. All the upholstery has been redone. Door panels
are mint. New carpet and sill plates. New 442 embroidered
floormats. The visors are mint, the matching headliner fits tight
but does have a couple holes. Dash area is excellent. The chrome
knobs, controls are bright. Has one hairline crack next to the
speaker. Steering wheel, console, factory seatbelts are excellent.
All the interior lights work.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has the #s match, "born with" 400-350 hp
motor. There was no matching #s in 67, just a 2 letter code and
unit #. This car has the protect-o-plate which has the unit # that
matches the motor. Therefore this is one of just a very few you can
actually claim #s match! Entire compartment is detailed to
concourse. Correct bronze paint is neatly painted on the motor.
Show quality chrome air cleaner with new pie tin emblem. Correct
hoses and clamps. Has spring clamp battery cables. Features power
steering and brakes, booster is cadmium plated. All the finishes
are smoth and tidy. Has hood insulation. Show quality for sure.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Spotless metal. The spatter paint was sprayed
with a gun and has a very nice, neat finish. Bottom of the trunk
lid and jamb are gloss red. Has a restored jack and spare. Trunk
light works. Has power trunk release. New weatherstrip and
decals.
UNDERSIDE: Completely solid floors, rockers and frame. The weep
holes still have the rubber flaps. The front end was all apart,
rebuilt and detailed. It even has assembly line markings
duplicated. It has Rallye suspension which includes sway bars and
boxed control arms. Bottom of the motor is spotless. Has original
"born with" Turbo 400 automatic. Just like the motor, this trans is
#s match to this car through the protect-o-plate. In back it the
shocks and springs look new. Has original posi rear end. Dual
exhaust has the correct crimped tailpipes. New brakes, disc in
front.
This is one of those exceptional cars. The better you understand
cars, the more you will appreciate this one. The protect-o-plate
really authenticates it, most do not have this. Certainly
investment grade, beautiful muscle car.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
