For Sale: 1941 Ford Business Coupe in San Leon, Texas

Vehicle Description

1941 Ford Business Coupe

The engine is a flat head V-8 that has approximately 1000 miles on it since rebuild. It has been re-bored to a 232 CI. new pistons, heads shaved, and a mild cam. I put a 6 volt alternator, the one that looks like the original generator on last year. The carb. a 94 has been re-built. The Helment dist. I sent to Bubba's Ignition in IN. for a complete re-build, the coil I sent to Skip Haney in FL. for a complete re-build. Re-placed spark plugs and wires. New water pumps, installed an electric fuel pump near gas tank which I replaced with a Dick Carpenter unit along with new fuel line from tank to carb. put a pressure regulator and gauge ahead of carb. for 2.5 psi fuel pressure. The rear differential has been completely re-built, including the re-placement of the right side axle, and both rear brake drums ( Lincoln style )  no shops around here can turn the tapered axle drums, all brakes re-built, front drums turned ( Lincoln style ), master cyl. re-placed wheel cyl. re-placed. Front end re-built king pins and bushings, alignment set correctly ( goes down road with no shimmy ) The shocks have been re-built before I bought it and they are adjustable and they work. Put 2 speed electric wipers on last year control knob on dash where antenna hole was. Put 4 new Coker wide white wall tires on, less than 70 miles on them. New battery 2 yrs. ago Interior has been re-done around 10 yrs. ago before I owned it. I had the paint flaws and chips re-painted 2 months ago shop did a great job. Had the mufflers re-placed last month with Smitty's, has dual's with headers.. All the lights work even the interior dome lights. Installed turn indicators with LED bulbs in rear tail and stop lights and amber glass in front. Don't know if the trunk light works, never installed bulb. Wind up clock works, but missing winder knob..No broken glass, all rubber seals in windows and doors are good. Needs wiper blades, arms in trunk, never drive in wet conditions. Has a bar under left side of hood for a prop to keep people from slamming hood at meets, prop is in trunk, also new hood springs, keeps hood open like it should. This is the first Ford flathead V-8 i'v ever owned ( and I've several in my 82 yrs. ) that wouldn't run hot at idle or driving down the road and It get's hot down here in Texas. The body is all steel, no rust or wrecks, runs and drives great for a 79 year old car. This car came from Arizona, I purchased it from Mecume Auction  in Houston Tx, old radiator went bad have new Champion 3 core aluminum on it's way be here in a few days

*Comes with extra parts*
