Vehicle Description
1999 Big Block Shelby American Cobra
Why This Car Is Special
Some legends go by just one name. Elvis, Sinatra, Cher, Prince,
just to name a few in the music industry. As far as car legends go,
Cobra is about the biggest name to know.
We have a 1999 Shelby American Cobra here at Skyway Classics that
is a very potent combination for the street.
Mechanical
The Cobra we have is powered by a modified high performance 429
cubic inch Ford big block engine and 4-speed manual transmission.
It has a performance aluminum intake, performance carb, polished
aluminum Ford Racing valve covers, high performance ignition and
distributor system, high performance plumbing, with headers exiting
out the side pipe collectors and mufflers.
Our Cobra has an extremely rugged custom frame and suspension
system designed by using modern road racing technology with 4-wheel
disc brakes with performance rotors, heavy duty calipers and
high-performance carbon brake pads.
Interior
The interior is pure Shelby with racing bucket seats, upholstered
tunnel and door panels with pockets and the gauges on the dash
panel that tells you everything you need to know.
You can adjust the tilt wooden sport steering wheel, admire the
full wrap around interior, buckle up your 3" wide Simpson Racing
seat belts, check all the gauges as you fire it up to shift the
4-speed.
Exterior
Our Cobra is painted in in a great Ford racing scheme of dark
British Racing Green with white racing stripes. It looks period
correct with the Shelby Cobra hood scoop, chrome roll bar and side
mirrors, Halibrand Replica racing wheels with high performance
radial tires, side exhaust, and Shelby Cobra 427 emblems.
Conclusion
The Cobra name elicited shivers from the competition on the tracks
back in the 1960's, and still does on the street today, but real
ones command a million dollar price.
Now you can have a version of a Cobra like we have here at Skyway
Classics. This is a must have Cobra that any collector needs in his
stable to finish his collection, and we have it here at Skyway
Classics.
