Vehicle Description
This 1959 Ford F-100 is one of the most interesting finds around.
It was a family passion project that you can see everywhere from
the well-done color combo, to subtle upgrades that give it added
usability and charm.
We were told the restoration story on this one started out as a
project between a grandfather and grandson. Those often make for
the best builds because there's heart that goes into the work. You
can see that directly reflected in this pickup. The body lines are
crisp from keeping a careful eye on the sheetmetal. The gray paint
has a great workman attitude, and at the same time, the shine
instantly lets people know there was an investment here. The same
premium feeling comes from the trim and chrome bumpers. We
especially love the distinction of the red wheels with two-piece
trim and whitewalls. While the whole package looks great, you also
don't have to be afraid of pulling real truck duty, because the
steel bed is protected with liner paint.
If you like the look of the red wheels against the gray exterior,
then you're going to love the bold red interior. The bench seat
even has white inserts, so this same appeal as the wheel/tire
package. The wraparound windshield give the cab an airy feeling,
the heater will get you through the cold mornings, and the large
steering wheel has that unmistakable vintage grip. But even with
all this classic attitude, you may have also noticed a Bluetooth
speaker cleanly mounted to the dash. That means you still get
modern music in your very vintage ride.
Even the engine bay has some bold red flair. The restoration made
sure that this V8 radiated from within all this darkness, and it
even has nice details, right down to the factory decal on the air
topper. Ford's 292 cubic-inch V8 was the largest motor offered at
the time, so it's the exact powerhouse you want in this truck. It
even has upgraded headers to add power and give a nice tune to the
dual exhaust. And the column-shifted three-speed manual
transmission lets you control it all in that cool/classic way.
This is a strong-running passions project vintage Ford. So you know
you need to get your hands on it right now.
