Here is a nice opportunity to own a beautiful classic Corvette on a budget. With just 37k miles, this 1976 model is a great example of the Stingray, with all the curves and creases that have aged so well over the last 40+ years. It is in wonderful condition throughout and is a great driving car that includes working R134a air conditioning. It has been very well cared for by its last owner and includes many receipts from the last 15 years.
This C3 was repainted in its original code 72 Red paint and looks fantastic. This car is more than just a nice paint job though. The frame is in good condition and the fiberglass does not have any cracking issues. The grille pieces, bumper pads, lenses, and moldings are all in good shape. The rubber seals for the doors and t-tops were recently replaced as well. Other neat stuff includes a partial tank sticker and the original service number sticker from Fencl-Tufo Chevrolet.
This Corvette is powered by its original L48 350ci engine and TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. This is a smooth, reliable combination that is great on the street. The car is also equipped with power steering and power disc brakes that make it easy for anyone to drive. The exhaust recently received a new catalytic converter and new mufflers, while the rear spring was replaced with a modern composite piece.
The interior is the original code 192 black leather and is in remarkable condition. There are woodgrain accents on the console and door panels for a rich look. This car also has power windows and an aftermarket sound system with a digital tuner. The air conditioning has been converted to R134a and blows cold. The heater / defroster function properly as well, as do the horn, wipers, gauges, and parking brake. Even the key buzzer works!
This is not some mediocre mid-70’s Corvette that has been abused and neglected. Rather, this is a quality car that has been given proper care and treatment. It looks fantastic and is ready for the road. And at this price level it remains an affordable classic that you can really drive and enjoy.
Even with new equipment being added, the base price of the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette will not increase over those of the 2020 model, Chevrolet announced July 8. “The 2021 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray retains carryover pricing – the same as the introductory model – with MSRP starting at $59,995 for the coupe and $67,495 for the […]
The Chevy Corvette has been an American icon for 67 years now, and it’s as much a part of U.S. history any other automobile. At a time when patriotism is running high and history is celebrated, it seems fitting that a Corvette should get the spotlight. The Pick of the Day is a low-mileage 1996 […]

Hennessey Performance Engineering wasted no time getting to work on the mid-engine 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The Texas tuner added a nitrous oxide system to the recently released sports car, then took it out for a top-speed run and achieved a claimed 205.1 mph. That speed was reached at the Continental Tire Proving Ground in […]
The 2020 Corvette, the first mid-engine model in the marque’s 67-year history, has had a difficult start. First, its release was pushed back due to reported development delays regarding its aluminum spaceframe and electrical architecture. Then, production was delayed at least two months due to a strike by the United Auto Workers. Now, the coronavirus has […]

The 2014 C7 Chevrolet Corvette won the Fiberglass Follies by a front clip over pre-race favorite, the 1990 ZR1. The race was a figment of the imagination designed to fill a void in the real horse racing scheduled […]
