For Sale: 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 in Cleveland, Ohio

Vehicle Description

For sale is car #18 of 43, a 2002 Pontiac Collector Edition Trans Am, 2002 Daytona 500 parade / lap car. This car was driven by 2002 Daytona 500 winner Ward Burton. There were 43 Collector Edition Trans Am's used in the 2002 Daytona 500 opening parade ceremony. Each NASCAR driver chose to have a celebrity drive them to their assigned race car or drive themselves. Convertible cars were driven by celebrities, while T-Tops were driven by the NASCAR drivers. Each parade / lap car was driven one lap on the Daytona track. The special Daytona 500 decal was affixed to each parade / lap car. This decal was only provided to the 43 cars.

In 2002, Pontiac produced 30,690 Firebirds for world distribution. Only a total of 2391 received the Z15 Collector Package (7.8%). Of the 2391, only 507 were produced with an automatic transmission and T-Tops. This Trans Am includes every feature that has made the Generation IV Firebird one of the best performing Pontiacs ever. The heart of the Collector Edition Trans Am is it's LS1 5.7 liter Ram Air V8 that produces 325 horsepower. Every Collector Edition Trans Am is also suited with the WS6 package.

This car comes with all of it's original 2002 Daytona 500 markings, including its parade / lap VIN and the Ward Burton window stencil. The framed display board seen in the photo contains the documentation and Daytona memorabilia. In August of 2019, the car won a top 50 award at the Quaker Steak car show in the Valley.

This car has only 12,600 miles on it. All of the power options, including power windows, power antenna, power drivers seat, hidden headlights, Monsoon radio, ice cold A/C, power windows and power locks are in working condition. This is an accident free vehicle. In September of 2019, the engine oil was changed to Royal Purple synthetic motor oil.

The car is meticulously kept and maintained. The car is stored in a climate controlled garage and is only driven to local shows. The car is completely original with the exception of the battery and tires. As most Firebirds, maintenance repair has been completed to the motor on the hidden headlights and drivers side window lift motor. These repairs included the newest and latest parts.

You are not only buying one of the last Trans Am's, but you are buying a piece of Daytona history.
