Welcome to THE VETTE NET, Nationwide and International Corvette
Brokerage Network, a place where enthusiasts meet to buy or sell
their coveted cars... From a private collection comes one of the
most desirable and collectible models, the LT1! Available only for
the 70-72 years, this high HP small block found a unique niche in
the hearts of collectors and enthusiasts alike. Presenting a fine
example of the era, a rare Warbonnet Yellow LT1 Coupe in very nice
condition, pretty much a survivor with only a newer paint-job.
According to the window sticker available, it came equipped as
follows (cost new, total made, percentage of production): 330 HP
LT1 Turbo- Fire engine $483.45 1949 made (8.9%) 4-speed close ratio
transmission, no cost, 2387 made (10.9%) F70 White-lettered tires,
$43.65 Heavy duty battery, $14.80 AM/FM push button radio, $178,
18078 made (82.9%) performance axle ratio, $12.65, 2395 made (11%)
Deluxe Saddle Leather interior, $158 Warbonnet Yellow Car looks and
feels like a solid survivor. With the exception of the newer
paint-job in the correct Warbonnet Yellow (code 989), it appears
that pretty much is original to the car. The engine has the proper
matching numbers (VIN and suffix) on the engine pad, correct
shielding, intake, etc. It is endowed with old school Doug's
headers giving it a better breathing out. Another upgrade is the
Aluminum radiator. Engine is very strong and appears fresh. Vacuum
operated headlights work fine. Interior of the car is equipped with
the optional Saddle deluxe leather and, judging by the appearance,
seat covers, door panels, dash, carpet etc, all appear to be
factory original. Interior is complete and in great shape. Speedo
and tachometer work, the other gauges are being revised and we will
update with the progress. Factory radio works. Undercarriage is
very solid with no issues and some rubber parts look like they were
freshened up recently. Overall, we are impressed with the condition
of this fine LT1. Its excellent paint-job, survivor interior,
matching numbers engine and overall condition recommends it as a
mid-range collectible that can be occasionally driven and shown...
The LT1s were consistently appreciated and seem to be a surefire
investment. Here is your chance to own one, without breaking the
bank. Car comes from a high-end collection in FLORIDA and we are
interested in like values, so feel free to let us what you got.
