You're looking at one-owner and loaded icon with a terrific
presentation and poise. And yes, this 1985 Ford Mustang GT has a
5.0 V8 heart and five-speed manual.
The Ford Mustang was one of the brightest stars in the
performance-starved mid-80s, and this one really shows off the best
of it all. It's a true 5.0, but it has the look of the special SVO
turbo. This includes the aerodynamic front end with the
flush-mounted single headlight, a new bumper treatment,
body-colored c-pillar trim, and the unique rear with the
double-decker rear spoiler. They even added the hallmark offset
hood scoop that make these so distinctive. Of course, this one
didn't need much addition to draw attention thanks to a respray
later in life of the vibrant factory red that keeps this one
looking glossy in the sunshine.
The multi-tone tan interior is a timeless color combo against the
exterior red. We're especially fond of the bucket seats with
terrific bolstering, upgraded headrests, and distinctive red
piping. In fact, with the door panels nicely coordinating this
setup it looks quite sophisticated. Plus, you have a ton of great
features, like cold-blowing air conditioning, a sunroof, power
locks, AM/FM/cassette stereo, and provisions for power windows. And
more than just loaded, you'll love this because it's a true
driver's machine. That means a grippy sports steering wheel, full
round gauge package with large speedo & tach, and a stick shift in
the ideal position for your right hand.
The 5.0 High Output V8 evolved each year, and 1985 is the pinnacle
of four-barrel carbureted development. With 210 horsepower, it
would be a few years before the Mustang would have more ponies
under the hood. With a great motor like this, it's great to have
what's believed to be the original V8 still in the engine bay.
Plus, the ultra-tidy presentation backs up the belief the ultra-low
odometer reflects actual mileage. The five-speed manual
transmission puts complete control of this V8 in your hands. There
are also great anytime driving features like power steering, power
brakes w/discs up front, and sway bars front & rear. And the set of
17-inch SVT Cobra-style alloys fill the wheel wells nicely and
allow for better performance rubber.
The sale come complete with owner's manual and the Marti Report.
This is cherished one-owner coupe with distinction and power. Don't
miss out, call today!
