For Sale at Auction: 1978 GMC Vandura in Scottsdale, Arizona
The Elvis tribute van is mostly stock but has been mildly
customized. Body modifications were limited to wheel flairs, roof
rack and glass porthole windows. Exterior accessories are in the
form of Cragar SS wheels and Hooker side pipes. The paint started
with a white basecoat and featured blue striping, highlights and
mural work by Jason Brookshire. The interior is original from the
'70s with a bed, sink, captain's chairs and icebox. Upholstery work
is a tasteful mix of blue velour and Naugahyde. The dash and
doghouse are covered in a blue fur-likematerial and houses an
8-track stereo. There is a chrome chain link steering wheel. Music
notes and graphics are under the hood and inside the door jams.
