1955 Series One 5 window pickup. Great-looking, very solid and rare short bed GMC pickup. Oak bed. Underside is VERY clean, no significant rust. See photos. No evidence of ever being in a collision or abused. Outside bottom cab corners are solid, perfect. Sheet metal is all original and straight. See photos of underside! Original, powerful straight six has plenty of power. Original, hard to find hydramatic shifts smoothly, perfectly and does 65 with no trouble. Fun to drive. A brand new, under-bed, rear-mounted steel fuel tank and sending unit has just been installed...no more fuel tank bomb behind the seat. New alternator was installed. New fuel pump installed. Battery is 2019. Brakes are very good. We have the paint code number. Just spent over $1,000 on four brand new steel classic rallye wheels and new 50,000 mile Kelly radial tires. (Didn't purchase hubs because the buyer will probably have his/her own choice.) See photos of new wheels and tires below. Chrome is good. The manifold splits into a nice dual exhaust system with glasspack mufflers for a classic sound. I listed this under Chevrolet to gain maximum exposure. GMC pickups are clones of their Chevrolet pickup siblings. Perfect candidate for frame-off restoration or just drive it as is. These handsome GMC models are hard to find. If you have your heart set on a 3 speed manual transmission, you can easily put one in. We have just lowered the price. At this price, you can put a whole new engine in, if that is your wish.
