Vehicle Description
1966 Pontiac GTO Tribute - Pro-Street GTO Tribute - 427ci V8
w/Hurst Shifter - Tidy Interior - (If you happen to be viewing this
vehicle on a website other than our main website, it's possible
that only some of our many photographs are presented due to website
limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go
to our main website: Garage Kept Motors) Here's an awesome
Pro-Street GTO tribute that is sure to turn heads with it's raked
stance, bright red paint, oversized Mickey Thompson tires, and loud
exhaust. Purpose built interior, simple exterior trim, and a clean
engine bay are other positive points that this car has going for
it. This classic muscle car is now painted bright red and although
it is now badged as a GTO, it started life as a Tempest Custom.
Regardless of how it was badged to begin with, or what badges it
wears now, this is a very clean car with some slightly radical
looks. You may have noticed the extreme forward rake of the car,
which is necessary to fit those huge tires under the rear fenders.
You may be wondering if the wide rear tires are necessary? They
certainly provide a bigger contact patch to get the power that the
built 427ci V8 produces to the pavement. This thing is built for
straight line speed, and getting the power to the ground is a big
part in low quarter or eighth mile times. The simple interior
finish is thanks to only the essentials being left inside - a pair
of racing seats, an aftermarket steering wheel, and a Hurst
shifter. The backseat has been deleted and it's former spot has
been neatly carpeted. The dashboard has been kept neat with a
tachometer, a few auxiliary gauges, and a few switches being added.
The 427ci V8 under the hood is fully built with visible mods
consisting of an Edelbrock intake manifold, Holley 4 BBL
carburetor, MSD Ignition, aluminum radiator, transmission cooler,
and a number of polished dress up parts. Urethane bushings are
visible beneath the car as well as a polished driveshaft, and
custom exhaust. On the lookout for a nice Pro-Street car? This GTO
might just be the one for you with it's big engine, simple
interior, and sleek coke-bottle shape. We know that you won't tire
of looking at it, and the car will definitely turn some heads. Be
