Vehicle Description
STK 2713 1957 Ford Courier
The Ford Courier was a unique station wagon model. It was based on
the 2-door Ford Ranch Wagon, but with blank panels in lieu of side
windows. Just over 6,000 were built in 1957. This 1957 Courier was
a recent beneficiary of a 'resto-rod' restoration. Drivetrain
upgrades, custom two-tone paint and nice interior enhancements
combine to create a stunning package. The original 223ci 6-cylinder
was replaced with a 390 FE series V8 that was properly built. The
block was bored .030 over, fitted with aluminum heads, roller
rockers, Edelbrock intake and 4V Holley carburetor. Cooling is
managed by a HD aluminum radiator and a top-loader 4-speed
transmission feeds an 8-3/4' differential with 3.08 street gearing.
Riddler 5-spoke alloys (18"f/19"r) accent the stunning Grey/Silver
base-clearcoat finish that was professionally applied to this
unique body. The restored interior is impressive. Front bucket/rear
bench seats have been reupholstered in red/gray vinyl and the
headliner, carpeting and door panels are in very good condition.
The factory dash has been custom fitted with Equus gauges and a JVC
1200 watt AM/FM/CD sound system has been installed. The tilt column
mounts a custom leather wrapped wheel and power windows have been
added. A spotless chassis is equipped with upgraded disc/drum
brakes, dual master cylinder, Borgeson steering box, front
coil/rear leaf springs, stainless exhaust, new fuel system and many
new suspension components. This Ford Courier is a well-built, fun
ride. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
