WILD AT HEART!!! Own a piece of cinema history! This car was the second picture car used in the filming of David Lynch's classic film "WILD AT HEART" starring Laura Dern, Nicholas Cage and Willem DaFoe. Ran great for many years. Had many upgrades over that time including rust prevention on lower floor (from Ohio salty roads) and full mechanical overhaul. Has not run for the past 5 years and needs some serious TLC.
It breaks my heart to let it go, but we're moving and all reasonable offers will be considered. Here's the basic details--
As you can see from the photos -- the convertible top is shot and the exterior body has rust. Paint is peeling on hood and trunk. There are scratches throughout. Some chrome still good -- some starting to oxidize. Serious rust on the trunk which needs to be rebuilt/restored.
The interior in fair condition. Seats need to be reconditioned but leather holding up well. The dash is cracked from sun damage.
Electrical needs to be replaced entirely (due to corrosion). This includes window motors, relays and the system that opens and closes the trunk.
Engine in good shape. It's stock and I have replaced many components. All belts, brakes, wires and hoses in good condition.
THIS CAR DOES NOT RUN. You must provide transportation if you want to take it.
Make no mistake -- this is a PROJECT. But also a chance to own a very rare and exquisite classic car from the mid-60's at a very low price!!
