Vehicle Description
This is one of 8,700 factory-built Dodge Dart Demons. It was built
in Hamtramck, MI and shipped to Nielsen Motor Co. of Redding,
California where it was sold new. It was finished in E5 Bright Red
with a black luxury vinyl bucket seats. Factory build specification

The car spent its entire life in Redding, California and was
eventually purchased by FRP Customs and given a full nut and bolt
restoration that included many modern upgrades and subtle styling
enhancements.
Body, Chassis, and Suspension: Full custom rotisserie restoration,
complete perimeter frame, Mustang 2 coil-over front suspension
package, four-bar coil-over rear suspension with Panhard bar,
four-wheel electric Wilwood power disc brakes, Mini-tub to
accommodate 13" wide tires (rear), custom-built Foose wheels,
completely undersealed undercarriage, rear spoiler, hood scoops,
show quality paint, hand-crafted engine compartment, custom front
grille, headlights, splitter and bumper, side skirts.
Drivetrain: 360 cu. in. Mopar small block bored and stroked to 408
cu. in., fully balanced and blueprinted with roller cam and SCAT
crank, ceramic coated exhaust system with Sanderson headers,
completely rebuilt 727 Torqueflite transmission, transmission
cooler, aluminum radiator with dual cooling fans, completely
rebuilt and strengthened Dodge 8.75 rear end, shortened axles to
accommodate tub, new U-joints, and driveshaft, custom cold air
intake system, large capacity oil pan, B&M ratchet shifter.
Interior: custom center console with power windows, power door lock
switches, air/fuel gauge, auto-dimming rearview mirror with
temperature and compass, original bucket seats, Hush Mat
throughout, customized leather interior with Ostrich leather
inserts and leather headliner, hand-built dash with classic gauges,
Kenwood audio and navigation system, ARC Audio Signature Series
audio system with four amps and ten speakers, iPod connection and
Sirius Satellite radio, Flaming River chrome steering column with
tilt steering wheel, full custom carpeting with Demon logo floor
mats, back-up camera, customized trunk interior, polished aluminum
brake, and accelerator pedals, custom door panels and door
handles.
Additional Details: power steering, 16-gallon fuel cell with
electric fuel pump, Vintage air-conditioning integrated with a
custom dash, electric E-brake system, custom alarm system with
2-way page and GPS tracking, a 12-volt power jack, trunk-mounted
battery, build book with photos, copy of window sticker, original
Broadcast sheet, and owner's manual.
Since being built nearly ten years ago, this has been a show car
and has won many awards. It was displayed at the prestigious SEMA
show in the ARC Audio booth. In early 2019, after the engine was
overheated, a completely new engine was built. A period-correct
(71-74) 360 block was used and built to 408 cu. in. specification.
The engine, which has only had break-in miles cost in excess of
$21,000. The transmission was completely rebuilt as well and was an
additional $3,000.
