Vehicle Description
If you like your 1971 Chevrolet Chevelles fast, bold, and
well-preserved, then this numbers matching, big block factory Super
Sport is what you've been looking for. With a great original color
combo, and preserved right down to the working 8-track player, this
one gives you a lot to show off before you even let everyone hear
the rumble of the V8.
The code 13 Nevada Silver, complete with black SS stripes, gets
this coupe noticed everywhere it goes. It's not just because of how
striking this factory-correct color combo is, but also this is the
result of a professional respray. That means you get the pride of
originality, and the bright luster that can only come from modern
paint practices. SS factory upgrades include the blacked-out
grille, hood pins, a cowl-induction hood, and proper badges
throughout, and there are few more menacing views in a rear-view
mirror than a Chevelle SS thundering up behind you. It's also got
some very nice chrome, particularly the bumpers, and there's
something special about fresh chrome on a silver car that really
gets attention.
The black interior has a very original and well-preserved feel. In
fact even when items were restored, like the new front bucket
seats, it was done to factory-correct standards. It's no surprise
to us why this one has led a charmed life considering the amount of
options this came with straight from the factory. In case you
missed it, this came equip from the factory with A/C. The driver
gets the center console with iconic horseshoe shifter, an original
two-spoke steering wheel that has a correct SS horn button, and a
full set of gauges including a factory tach. You even still get to
blast the tunes on the original AM/FM 8-track stereo (don't worry
if you don't have a collection of 8-tracks, because this Chevelle
comes with one too.)
New for 1971 Super Sports was the addition of the LS3 402 cubic
inch V8 big block. While there were not too many that were
installed at the Arlington, Texas factory, this powerplant is
numbers-matching. Just like the rest of the car, the motor has led
a cared-for life with good maintenance. This goes beyond the tidy
appearance of the engine bay and the proper shiny elements like the
air cleaner and valve covers. The V8 was recently treated to a new
brake booster, battery, and starter. Plus, the newer dual exhaust
gives it an authoritative baritone sound. That means you can fire
this big motor up with confidence and go cruising on a whim. In
fact, this one has a lot of great features to get you down the road
with ease. This includes the power steering, stout TH400
three-speed automatic transmission, and front power disc brakes.
You even get the modern grip of Goodyear Eagle GTII tires with the
correct SS wheels at all four corners.
This is turnkey real-deal SS that commands attention for all the
right reasons. The fact that its exceptionally original right down
to the big block, and it has enough great features to be a daily
driver just proves more that this silver Chevelle is truly precious
metal. Call today!!
