Vehicle Description
Vintage style meets the right upgrades to deliver a V8-powered 1951
Chevrolet 3100 that has classic charm with plenty of driving
appeal.
The yellow paint looks right on a truck like this. It's a
pastel-like hue that has the same optimism as the post-war 1950s.
And this Chevy likes to deliver that classic feeling. It hasn't
been lowered or streamlined. Instead, you get all the cool vintage
pieces like the alligator hood and curvy fenders. Any exterior
upgrades you may notice are slight and purposeful. For example, the
15-inch wheels allow for better modern tires, and the full polished
smoothie look doesn't look out of place for the era. In fact, it
seems to do a nice job of complementing the chrome bumpers and
iconic five-bar grille.
Inside the upgrades are a little more obvious, but you never lose
that vintage charm. It starts with the bench seat. The brown vinyl
is that same that's used for the door panels, and the piping
coordinates with the dash. So you get a thoughtful look on this
total package. There are more nice additions like a tilt steering
column, cruise control, provisions for R134a air conditioning, and
even a pop-up sunroof. So this is a nice place to spend some
time.
Under the hood is an upgrade to small block power. This 327
cubic-inch V8 has nice power additions like an Edelbrock
four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock aluminum intake. Plus, you
have the right supporting components for a strong running motor,
like an HEI ignition, electric choke, and an aluminum radiator. The
V8 makes a sweet sound out of the glasspack dual exhaust. And it's
easy to enjoy it all with features like power steering and a
three-speed automatic transmission.
This Chevy 3100 is a truck that respects its heritage while still
being nice to enjoy today. Don't miss this total package pickup.
