Serious preservation, timeless style, and plenty of luxury headline
this 1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. So if you're looking for a
time capsule coupe, read on for all the details on this unique
survivor.
Pastel Beige is the kind of color you want on a 1980s survivor
classic because it fits in so nicely with its period. In fact, we
even believe this is the original factory application, so its's a
survivor that represents its era correctly. But the paint is just
the backdrop for a well-coordinated package. There's a tasteful
contrast with the premium pieces like the half vinyl roof and
pinstripe both finished in blue. And not only do the chrome bumpers
shine like mirrors, but they also go nicely with the polished Super
Stock wheels. The result is a car with timeless elegance.
Those solid doors swing wide for a dramatic reveal of a time
capsule interior. And now you can see all that blue accenting on
the outside was a preview of the deep blue sea inside. The odometer
shows that this has averaged less than 2,000 miles annually, and we
are inclined to believe that reflects actual mileage considering
the well-preserved look inside and out. After all, low mileage
means little seat time, and the velour on the seatbacks remains
velvet-like to the touch. There's plenty of room for family and
friends inside, but all you need to do is fold-down the front
armrest, and you'll always have individual bucket-like comfort. The
tilt steering column gives you an excellent position to see the
wide speedometer set in the wood-like trim. Plus, this has a ton of
great features, like power locks, cruise control, AM/FM/cassette
stereo, cup holders, and cold-blowing factory air conditioning.
Under the hood is the optional 307 cubic inch V8. This is believed
to be the original engine to the car, and it's the one you want.
The motor was shared with luxury machines like the Oldsmobile
Toronado and the Cadillac Brougham. That's because it's smooth and
torquey, and there's nice power from the four-barrel carburetor.
More of this Cutlass Supreme's great cruising capabilities come
through with features like the smooth-shifting three-speed
automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes w/discs up
front.
Everything on this car looks well-preserved, right down to the
undercarriage photos. The sale even come with nice paperwork like
the original window sticker and maintenance records. This is a
well-preserved coupe for those who appreciate distinction and
vintage luxury. If that's you, then you need to grab this deal.
