This Yellow Modern Hot Rod is 1 of just 584 sold in Yellow in 1999 and with just 2450 miles on it is pretty much in showroom new condition. This car was always owned by serious car enthusiasts who treated it like the classic it is, or will definitely be. The original owner put under 1000 miles on it in 18 years of ownership. Second owner added another 1000 miles in his year of ownership, and the gentleman I purchased it from added about 450 miles. So, YES this Prowler has under 2500 miles on it with no accidents, no stories, never winter driven and is essentially brand new. Paint and body is pretty much like new. It is unmolested, not modified and never had any paint or body work. The only flaw I noticed is an extremely small scratch under the front nose that can only be seen if you lay down and look under it. Otherwise it really is basically flawless. The black convertible top is like new but hopefully you will enjoy this baby with the top down as often as possible.
Moving on to the plush ebony black leather interior you will again find it to be in showroom condition with that new car smell still! The bucket seats are very comfortable in these cars if you decide to go on a long cruise. The clean gauge layout of the dash is accented in Yellow with a steering mounted tach. Great sound from the 7 speaker AMFM/Cassette with 6 cd changer mounted behind the passenger seat. Ice cold A/C at your fingertips if needed. Again, this is basically a modern hot rod so all of the comfort features of a modern car are tucked inside this baby including of course airbags.
The power plant on the Prowler is a 3.5 Liter High-Ouput SOHC Aluminum V-6. Is it the fastest car on the road? No, but don’t be fooled. With 253hp at 6400 rpm and 255 ft.lb of torque at 3950 rpm it will get most peoples attention. While all Prowlers are Automatics, if you want to add a little fun factor when driving put it in Auto-stick mode and shift up and down through the gears. Power rack and pinion steering and 4 wheel vented disc brakes make driving this baby easy and fun. Independent front and rear stabilizer bars and front/rear coil over shocks make handling a dream and this Prowler handles like it is on rails. Lets not forget the awesome stance from the 20″ rears and 17″ front wheels. Wheels are in perfect condition with no curb rash and tires have tons of tread life left. With just 2450 pampered, well maintained miles this Prowler has really just barely been broken in.
