There is a difference between a "car" used for errands and commutes, and then there is an "automobile" - a joy to drive and enjoy. This lovingly-cared-for, bright cotillion white Cadillac is an automobile with extensively appointed extras, made in America, by Texans (documented inside drivers front door), and is appropriately referred to as “she”. She has had two, non-smoking owners (elderly ladies), who both protected her, in a garage, for the life of this special automobile. Over the past number of years, she has also had a car cover continuously on her, in addition to being continuously garaged.
Her life has been long, but carefully led, with less than 20,000 original miles. Most of her maintenance was handled by Covert Cadillac of Austin. The dark blue, plush leather seats, both front and back, do not even look like they have been sat in. Even the floor mats, all original, look like they have barely been stepped on. In fact, Miss Frankie never allowed shoes in the car! If you look at the outside, you will find some insignificant nicks and dings and a couple of cracks in the bumper rubber. Her padded Landau soft-top roof is in perfect condition. Her undercarriage and engine are clean. Everything on her is original, including unstained floor mats, an untouched spare tire and original Cadillac aluminum wheel covers. Please review the summary sheet in the photo section listing all of her many attributes. We have the original window sticker, original two sets of gold keys as well as the Owner’s Manual, in its original leather cover and all maintenance records. She is a rarity for sure. We have been unable to find another that comes close to her both in appearance and condition. She puts the “class” into the word classic. Driving her is like driving on a cloud, with seats that are more comfortable than your recliner. She is built for long road trips and is very responsive and smooth. You have the sensation of pure luxury. Besides her comfortable ride, the 5.7 Liter, V8 TBI engine, 23-gallon tank and 25-28 mpg point to a vehicle built for the open highway.
There are a couple of things that need attention, but they do not keep her from being driven safely or from getting the annual Texas registration sticker. The fuel gauge does not accurately measure the fuel level (we have the new gauge in the box). Secondly, the driver side, rear door window gets off its track once it is halfway lowered. It is easily repositioned and can be completely closed, without issue. Lastly, if you need air-conditioning, unless you can get your hands on prior-generation Freon, the system will need to be upgraded.
Overall, a true Texas gem. She also comes with a color-coordinated matching handbag with the Cadillac emblem.
