Cincy Classic Cars is very proud to offer this stunning 1976 Triumph TR6 which comes with the very sought after factory options of Overdrive Transmission and Hardtop. Factory Overdrive works as it should on this TR6 and really increases the driving experience especially on longer drives or highway driving. This TR6 is in beautiful overall condition and is a Factory paint code Tahiti Blue TR6 with very low actual miles of 49,347. This TR6 has been nicely maintained over the years with several restoration receipts. This TR6 was produced on the second to last day of plant production and was the 66th last TR6 ever made. This TR6 features a show car high level repaint in factory Tahiti Blue, A terrific Factory Beige interior, Factory J-Type Overdrive, Factory Hardtop, and several service records. This TR6 is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Tahiti Blue exterior over Beige interior. This is the factory color combination as verified on the commission plate pictured above. The low actual miles of 49,347 are branded on the Ohio title pictured above as "Actual", and mileage accounts are on several of the included receipts and service records.
Exterior
The Tahiti Blue exterior is in excellent restored condition. This TR6 received a professional repaint in Factory Tahiti blue over 5 years ago and was completed to a very high level and is in show condition. The car has been driven sparingly since the repaint so the paintwork is still very fresh. The paint is in stunning condition and has a deep shine and smooth touch. The body is very solid and the gaps and lines are terrific on this car. There is no bubbling paint anywhere on this car and no signs of corrosion or rust anywhere on this TR6. The factory hardtop is in great condition and the paint is original on the hardtop and still shows well as it was seldom used. The hardtop headliner is original as well. The original beige top cover is in excellent shape and has original stamping on it still. The underside of this TR6 is very solid as well with no visible rust or corrosion. Factory red underside primer is evident throughout the undercarriage on this TR6. Both bumpers are in great condition and the chrome is shiny. The red line tires have nearly full tread left and are sized 185 SR 15 and the OEM wheels are in near perfect condition with original aluminum trim rings. The reflective soft convertible top is like new and in excellent condition and works as it should. All weather stripping and seals are in like new condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with spare tire, correct trunk mat, jack tools, and replaced trunk surround pieces. All glass including the hardtop is original Triplex glass and in excellent condition.
Interior
The Beige interior of this TR6 is in terrific overall condition. The believed to be original seat covers have been installed over new seat foams within the last 60 days and are very comfortable and in great overall shape. The carpet is in excellent condition with no major wear, stains, or holes. The door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The wood dash surround is in excellent condition and looks great in the car. Both eyeball vents show factory chrome still which is usually only seen on lower mile examples. The upgraded digital stereo works well and the original speakers sound good in the original kidney panels. The gauges all work and are clear and crisp. The wipers, blower motor, and all lights work. The horn works as well and the horns were just replaced. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This TR6 is in excellent mechanical condition and it runs and drives very well. The original drive line is still in this TR6 with only 49,347 actual miles. This is a factory Overdrive car and the overdrive works properly and it a great feature to have on these cars. The transmission was rebuilt in the last few years and shifting is smooth and overdrive works well and is the top feature to have on these cars. This TR6 performs well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. This TR6 has been loved and very well maintained over the years and comes with numerous receipts and service records. The entire brake system was serviced and they do not pull and stop as they should. New calipers, new brakes hoses, new pads, new wheel cylinders, etc. were all replaced, see receipt. The clutch slave cylinder was replaced and the car shifts smoothly without issue. The exhaust appears to be factory and sounds great at idle and cruising speeds. The rear differential operates properly and there is no clunking while driving. Also, the engine is exceptionally clean and professionally detailed as one can see from the photos. The factory emission system is still in place and fully functional and this TR6 has passed emission tests from Illinois in the past.
