Vehicle Description
Wearing the FIA fender flairs, cut-back doors and finished in
polished aluminum, this continuation CSX 7000 Series Cobra was
handpicked by Carroll Shelby for his personal collection. This car,
CSX7049, is motivated by a 427ci V8 engine sporting a Holley
4-barrel carburetor sending power to the rear wheels via a 5-speed
manual gearbox. The 427 breathes through a set of white-painted
side-exit exhaust pipes. For suspension, the Cobra features a
4-wheel independent suspension with A-arms, transverse leaf and
tubular shocks. Stopping power is provided by 4-wheel hydraulic
brakes, and the Cobra's wheelbase is only 90 inches. CSX7049
features a braced-chrome paperclip roll bar, an 8,000 rpm
tachometer, a quick-fill fuel cap and knock-off wheels. The
polished aluminum finish is paired with black leather upholstery.
