For Sale at Auction: 1982 BMW Alpina B7 in Paris, France

Vehicle Description

To Be OFFERED AT AUCTION at RM Sothebys' Paris event, 5 February 2020.
Estimate:
€130,000 - €150,000

  • The 17th of only 60 four-door B7 S Turbos produced
  • Just three owners from new
  • Delivered new to Japan

The Alpina B7 S Turbo boasts enough performance to demolish a Ferrari 308 GTB, thanks to a 3.5-litre turbocharged straight six producing 330 bhp and 500 Nm of torque.

This three-owner example was exported to Nicole Japan (the Japanese Alpina agent) shortly after completion in 1982. It was acquired by its third and current owner in August of 2012, who has used the car sparingly in his home country of New Zealand. It presents very well, with its Alpina Sapphire Blue paintwork gleaming and its original interior in fine condition. Its engine bay has also benefitted from a recent restoration with specialist work to the turbo and fuel system and is adorned with tags that bolster its history, evidencing services at the same Japanese specialist in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2007the car has covered less than 4,000 km since. Additional written records extend back to 1991. A copy of the original build sheet, service documentation, and records accompany the sale, all testifying to the diligent care that has been bestowed upon this Alpina by previous keepers. Service records confirm the low current odometer reading of just 118,200 kilometres.

Once the fastest four-door automobile in the world, well-kept B7 S Turbos are seldom seen today, and this example would surely be a thrill to drive and enjoy.

  • La 17e des seulement 60 B7S Turbo quatre-portes produites

  • Uniquement trois propritaires depuis l'origine

To view this car and others currently consigned to this auction, please visit the RM website at rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/pa20.
