This is the kind of car that we're all looking for. After all, this
is a 1986 Pontiac Firebird shows all signs of being original
everywhere you look. And more than just a clean survivor, you get
everything you want, including V8 power, an overdrive transmission,
and an A/C interior. So the value price is just the cherry on
top.
This is a sweet spot for many of us. The third-generation Firebird
had it styling revised a few years into the run to really maximize
the impact of its sharp-edge design. So this has a revised front
end and hood that really brought out the best in a sports car
designed with the low nose and pop-up headlights. This is believed
to have averaged less than 2,000 miles annually, and the whole
coupe is an exceptionally well-kept survivor. That's important on a
car like this because it came from the factory with an impressive
two-tone treatment. The Flame Red Metallic is a bold color to have
on top, and there's an even bolder orange stripe encircling the
whole car to provide a distinct dividing line for the Champagne
lower section. It's such a well-done package, that even the Rally
II wheels are finished in the lower body color!
Inside is more great preservation and a ton of distinction. The
full red interior has some great-looking sliver streaks on the
seats. And those inserts are repeated on the doors for a
well-coordinated total presentation. Everything is well-preserved,
right down to the unique pocket on the passenger side dash. And
you'll love this for more than just the time capsule-like
appearance, because this also has all the best features. You get a
three-spoke sports steering wheel on a tilt column; there's an
armrest center console with floor shift; and the best factory
options are working nicely, like the AM/FM stereo and cold-blowing
air conditioning.
Under the hood is something you'll love. These early third-gen cars
with their 305 cubic-inch V8 and four-barrel carburetor are always
ripe for plenty of affordable power upgrades. But as you can see,
this one is refreshingly stock. So not only is this believed to be
as original and well-preserved as the rest of the car, but also it
fires up and runs like a well-respected coupe should. And while the
odometer shows low mileage, this one was built for driving. That's
why you have a smooth shifting four-speed automatic transmission
with highway-friendly overdrive. There's also power steering, power
brakes w/discs up front, and sway bars front & rear. So this is a
great total driving package.
This is the cool and preserved Firebird with all the features you
love and a very obtainable price. It's a total package that will be
moving quick, so call today!
