This Carousel Red 1976 Pontiac Trans AM with a Pontiac 400 V8 with numbers matching engine and transmission was recently brought to the V8 TV team in Red Bud, Illinois for some major restoration work. The V8 team installed a new floor section, new front subframe, and various suspension pieces that were worn out. The interior was treated to a layer of sound deadoner, and the engine now roars to life thanks to a Holley Sniper Quadrajet EFI system. A period appropriate but fully modern bluetooth radio was fitted along with modern A/C and heat, the car makes a great daily driver. The paint was restored about 8 years ago with beautifully applied factory stock decals. New Cooper tires were fitted on the original Rally II factory rims and the brand new front disk brakes and new rear drums offer plenty of stopping power. This car tracks true and straight. A full documentation of the restoration work performed by the V8 Team can viewed at their website (http://v8tvshow.com/V8TV_2/index.php/en/photos/1158-1976-pontiac-trans-am-restoration-at-the-v8-speed-and-resto-shop).
