1969 Mercury Cougar with 10,177 well documented miles. This car is a fine example of a survivor. All interior is original down to the factory floor mats, just the way it came off the showroom floor. Body lines are sharp and panel gaps have a nice fit and finish.
The exterior features almost all-original Medium Emerald (Silver Jade Metallic) paint. The engine compartment has had no restoration, with only maintenance items being replaced, and the trunk compartment has the original spare and trunk mat. It is documented with all the original paperwork.
This car is very well maintained and dialed in for the road. It handles very well. Drives straight and true. Stops on a dime and has plenty of power. Everything works, tilt away steering, headlights open and close perfectly and sequential turn signals operate as they should. Factory power vent system works flawlessly. Power steering is smooth.
I am the second owner. Purchased 25 years ago from original elderly owner. Enthusiast owned, and meticulously maintained. All oil and fluid changes done when due, and all service records documented.
Only non ethanol gasoline used.
Leaded oil used since new.
A lot of paperwork and documentation. Car is inspected and insured with clean antique title in hand. No wrecks.

Body is very solid. Frame, torque boxes, rocker panels, floor, trunk, firewall, roof, battery apron, inner & outer wheel houses, inner fenders, radiator support and shock towers are all solid. Undercarriage oiled and preserved. Factory chalk/ paint marks and decals still present throughout body, suspension and undercarriage .
The paint is original and does have some patina. Drivers seat has seams split.
Chrome and stainless trim are in excellent shape. Completely numbers matching drive train. 351 Windsor 2v with FMX automatic transmission.
New battery, tires on original rims, brakes, rebuilt original carburetor, shocks, pertronix electronic ignition, flamethrower coil, plugs, wires, tune-up, belts, hoses ect. FMX Automatic Transmission servicing, flush, fluid, filter and gasket. Graphite used in locks. Silicone grease on all hinges. Have all receipts. Factory Steel styled wheels are original and date coded 1968
Cougar is totally roadworthy and fully functional.
