We're always on the lookout for a 1971 Plymouth Duster 340 because
they are cool muscle machines in a lightweight package. But some do
it even better than others. With its hood scoop, High Impact paint,
four-on-the-floor, this coupe is a head-turner with a performance
heart.
High Impact colors like Plum Crazy were reserved for the best
Mopars, and so it seems quite fitting to have it applied here. The
deep purple has a nice radiance in the sunshine. Plus, these Duster
340s had one of the best accenting packages around with the
blackout hood, blackout rear panel, and full length side stripe
that highlights the curve in the profile. Even the line around the
side windows is painted black. Those twin hood scoops lead the way.
And they are joined by more sporty details, like the full-length
spoiler, hood pins, and a set of Rallye wheels with wider ones in
the rear just to really show where to power meets the pavement.
The black interior goes nicely with all the black accent of the
exterior. But you'll like this for far more than just color
coordination. The door panels, dash, and carpeting all have the
look and feel of quality. Plus, the high-back bucket seats are taut
and comfortable. There are some cool classic-style details added,
like the Pioneer cassette player and Make Wave auxiliary gauges.
Plus, this has all the right driver features, like Mopar's Tuff
sports steering wheel, an upgraded column-mounted tach, and the
iconic pistol-grip shifter.
More of that classic Mopar appeal is seen when you pop the hood.
The bold orange motor really stands out against all the
exterior-matching purple in the engine bay. This was born a Duster
340, and so it's great to have an era-correct block that looks
correct, right down to the callout on the air topper. The dual
exhaust makes that sweet sound you expect out of the big motor
Duster, and the four-speed manual gives you full control of this
muscle car soundtrack. Plus, you'll even like the details, like how
the undercarriage photos show there have been more recent
investments in the suspension.
This has the right look and power that you expect from a true
Duster 340. So if you love boldness and power, call today!
