Garage Kept Motors.) We're excited to offer this beautifully
finished, true X33 coded, first generation Camaro for your
consideration! Truly an iconic American car, finished with care in
a beautiful color combination, this is an awesome collectible car
to consider for your garage. Our client purchased this car in
December of 1986 from a local dealership that had taken the car in
on trade for a Harley Davidson. The car was shipped from California
and sat at the dealership for about 5 years before he purchased it.
A solid California body including solid floors, trunk pan, doors,
and quarter panels, was a perfect platform to start with.
Restoration work that included a full color change was done from
1988 through 1990. Being that the restoration was done about 30
years ago, many new, genuine GM parts were still available for this
car. Bumpers were sourced from Berger Chevrolet of Grand Rapids,
Michigan, and only the left front fender, hood, and front valance
were replaced - again, using new genuine GM parts. Currently
finished in black vinyl, the interior of the car was originally
Midnight Green (Code 725). Although there has been a color change,
the fit and finish of the interior is very nice, and shows very
well. Bucket seats, factory tach, gauge package, console, wood
grain trim, and the pairing of the iconic white shift knob and wood
grain steering wheel are highlights of the interior. Hugger Orange
currently hugs the curves of this first generation Camaro, with
white stripes providing some contrast. The car left the Norwood
Factory in early 1969 finished in Forest Green with black stripes
(Code 59B). A slow walk around the exterior of this car gives you
time to take in all the details. From the front end that wears a
lower front lip and egg crate grille, to the rear spoiler, this car
is pleasing to the eyes! Rally wheels with GoodYear white letter
tires finish off the look of this true Z/28 first generation
Camaro. Under the hood is an extremely clean, date code correct, DZ
engine mated to a 4-speed Muncie Transmission. The underside of the
car is very clean with solid floors and sills framing a Flowmaster
exhaust, polished fuel tank, front disc brakes, and 12 Bolt rear
axle with 3.73 gears and posi-traction. Be sure to check out all
the photos and video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors. Call
