name is a mouthful so bear with us. Shown here is a 1957 Pontiac
Transcontinental Star Chief Safari Wagon in a two-tone Cordova Red
and Ivory, one of only 1894 produced. We get more attention driving
the Safari around town than any other vehicle in our collection.
This wagon was on display in a Florida museum, so the miles are
believed to be original. One repaint approximately 3 years ago with
rust repair performed on the floorpan, rear hatch, and tailgate.
Chrome is original as well as interior upholstery with the
exception of new carpet in the front passenger area. This wagon
came standard with a reclining passenger seat, 10:1 compression
ration 270hp 347ci V8 engine, and a chrome luggage rack. The split
front bench seat with reclining passenger seat was only available
on this model. The Transcontinental differentiates itself from the
other wagons due to the special trim on the rear quarters.
205/70R14 Tires are mounted on the 14' steel wheels with original
Pontiac hubcaps. This wagon drives great and gets more looks than
anything else in our inventory. Fully serviced with recent tune-up
